Bath

This was a bit of an experiment for me trying to get some interesting panoramic images. The images will also form part of the content of a music piece that is made using samples recorded around Bath.

I like the general effect in this picture but it is definitely a crude attempt - better attempts will follow soon I hope.

Groundswell

Dan playing at last weeks open mic night.
I really want to go to open mic tonight, however, both my girlfriend and Dan are away meaning I will be going on my own. I would like to think that this would be OK, open mic is the sort of place where everyone goes to enjoy music and I would surely find some nice people to sit and chat to. I'm afraid I don't believe this to be the case though.

Bonde De Wolfe Promo Shots

Went to Clevedon today. It's really nice there.
The promo shots will be used for some up coming shows I have, the first of which is at The Perfect 5th, Taunton, on the 30th of September.
I also have a headline show in Bath but that's a little way off at the mo.

photography

i think im going to devote some more time to photography. just try and keep the batteries charged up and take the camera out with me more often.

i got some brilliant pictures yesterday and really enjoyed having the camera in my hand, forgetting about everything but what i was seeing through the view finder.

i need to post more photos - i need to print more photos.

i think using a digital camera slows me down as theres this horrible stage of editing after the shoot. they all get loaded into the laptop as raw images, then they should emerge the other side, out of the printer, as crisp, absorbing, colourful pictures. but they dont. they stay sat on my hard-drive as i spend weeks, months even, tweaking them, undoing the tweaks and never being truly satisfied with the results.

today - i promise to stop this.
